I hope everyone is enjoying the summer vacation. It's hard to believe how fast it is going! We have already finished session 1 of summer school and will be starting round 2 next week. If you'd like to see what's been going on at summer school, you can check out our Summer School Page.
Here are a few summer updates/due dates for you:
- If you want to have the online Daily 5/Cafe Pensieve ordered for you please sign up HERE by Monday, July 29th.
- Yes, you can still sign up HERE to go to the Regional Summer Teacher Academy on August 6 and 7th. You can go to one, both or part of the days, it is entirely up to you. We just like to have the count of how many are coming so we can plan for ordering breakfast. I have had a couple staff members tell me they already have another commitment, but really wanted to see Naomi Harm for the keynote session. I will be recording her and will try to set up a Ustream account so you could even watch it live. I will send out that info the day before if I am able to pull it off.
- If you missed emails from Mr. Modaff, here's an important one for you to each create your own Apple ID prior to coming back for in-service:
I need every
elementary staff member to create an Apple ID. This will be used to download
apps and personalize your iPads to how you want to set it up. This is also a
requirement for the Apple Professional Development at back to school in-service. Please take a moment of
your time and set up an Apple ID with your district email address. This should
only take a few minutes to set up your Apple ID. If it asks you to put in
a credit card number, just select (NONE) and move on. Below is the link
that takes you directly to the page where you can set your apple id.
Once you have created
the Apple ID you will need to verify it. To verify the Apple ID you will need
to log into your district email. There will be an email from Apple. Follow the
directions that are in the email and you will successfully verify your Apple
ID.
If anyone has any
questions about how to create the Apple ID below are some links that will help
you out.
If you have any question or concerns please let Mr. Modaff know.
